The Future of Work is People Squared

by Nikki Barua
Jan 11, 2026

Happy New Year! I hope you're off to a great start in 2026.

I kicked off the year by celebrating my 51st birthday 🎉

The first half of my life was about building expertise. The second half is about using everything I've learned to tackle something that truly matters.

I've spent decades leading transformation, helping organizations navigate change. But AI is different; it's not just another tech wave. It's the defining challenge of our generation, a fundamental reshaping of what humans can become.

And standing at this threshold, between who I was and who I'm becoming, I've never felt more certain about my purpose.

This is why we're launching FlipWork, a transformation partner built for the speed of AI.

I believe the future isn't about technology replacing us. It is about technology revealing us.

My mission for this next chapter is to unlock human potential at a scale we've never seen before. That's the legacy I want to build in this second half.

Because the most powerful technology on Earth is still the human being.

THE SHIFT

AI is changing work faster than people can change how they work.

The gap between what we can imagine and what we can become is widening. And it's not because the technology isn't ready. It's because we're trying to fit revolutionary tools into old ways of working.

FlipWork exists to bridge that divide.

The old model was about efficiency, doing the same work faster. The new model is about amplification, where humans and AI amplify each other to create exponential output.

FlipWork moves companies beyond task automation to true Agentic-Human Reinvention™️

It's people freed from the mundane to focus on what makes us irreplaceable: creativity, judgment, wisdom, connection.

That’s when people become People Squared. It's the multiplier effect of humans and AI co-evolving together.

People² = (Human Creativity + Contextual Wisdom) × Agentic Scale

THE STRATEGY

How do you actually build a People Squared workforce?

It doesn't happen by buying ChatGPT licenses or building more AI tools. It happens by reinventing how your teams think, work, and collaborate.

  • The Diagnosis: We identify where AI can create real impact and change the economics of the business. Knowing exactly where to focus your transformation efforts generates faster results and greater impact.
  • The Sprint: We run intensive 90-day sprints to help teams learn a new way of thinking and working. With AI as a co-evolution partner, people shift from doing tasks to orchestrating outcomes.
  • The Build: Finally, we build AI agents designed for how humans actually operate. By deploying tools that fit into reimagined workflows, we ensure high adoption and deliver higher ROI.

If you lead AI transformation for your organization and want to explore further, let's connect.

THE STACK

To navigate this shift, you need two different maps: one for your personal reinvention and one for your organization's success. Here are two distinct channels to serve you better:

Home Is Something You Build
That's me in 1997, the year I first arrived in the USA with a heart full of hope and a suitcase full of dreams.    I had left behind everything I had ever known because I believed America was the place where my dreams would come true. I believed this country would give me a bigger life, and that if I worked hard enough and refused to quit, I could become someone my younger self could not ye...
The Question You Stopped Asking Yourself
Albert Einstein was five years old and sick in bed when his father placed a small magnetic compass in his hands. Young Albert turned it over, shook it, tilted it. No matter what he did, the needle returned to north. Something invisible was guiding it. Something that could not be touched, only sensed.  Years later, Einstein described that compass as one of the defining experiences of his chil...
What My Father Knew First: The Power of Belief
When I was a little girl growing up in India, I had no fancy toys or Barbie dolls, and definitely no trips to Disneyland. I didn’t have much media exposure to successful role models that tell a young girl where she might belong in the world. My father had no money to give me and no connections to open doors. But he did something very special that left an imprint on my mind. He created a coll...
